The operation of the Akvalande water amusement park in Riga, 45 Mūkusalas Street, has been suspended. This was a favorite amusement park for many Rigans and guests of the city, with several saunas and opportunities for sports activities, as well as entertainment for children.
This peaceful port of Pardaugava was popularly called Aqualandia. Celebrations of children’s anniversaries with cotton wool and other banquets for small children were also popular here. Unique here was a particularly hot whirlpool bath, table tennis facilities and large pools.
The entertainment center had very democratic prices – 7 EUR for all-day splashing, as well as special discounts for students and pensioners. It could be said that even the poorest members of our society could afford this place of entertainment.
